Mike Ward

Mike Ward is Executive Director of the Canada–Türkiye Business Council and serves as Vice President of the NATO Association of Canada. He previously held diplomatic roles with Global Affairs Canada, where he supported Canada’s commercial and strategic engagement in international markets.

Mike brings experience in international business development, market access, and bilateral engagement, with a focus on supporting Canadian firms in navigating complex global markets. He has worked closely with government, industry, and international partners to advance Canadian interests in defence, aerospace, and dual-use sectors.

Strategic Advisor, RDII Project

Within the RDII project, Mike provides strategic advisory support on international market engagement, helping to connect Canadian SMEs with allied market opportunities and supporting export-oriented commercialization pathways.
